The Arizona Latin Americanist Working Group would like to invite the Department of Spanish and Portuguese graduate community to join them for a poetry close-reading session. The first reunion will feature poems by Balam Rodrigo's award-winning Libro centroamericano de los muertos (2018). The session will include a roundtable of conversation regarding different aspects of the poem where attendees are encouraged to listen and collaborate in the discussion. All poems for the opening session will be in Spanish.
