Elisa Vasquez

I am glad that I decided to get a second degree in Spanish - Portuguese. Through the College of Humanities I was able to meet great professors and staff that encouraged me to study abroad. They are committed to their students and ensure that they provide opportunities to grow their skills outside of class. I took two semesters of Portuguese and then studied in Brazil during the summer. After my travels I was fluent in Portuguese. I also studied in Spain for a semester. During both of my study abroad experiences, the university sent a UA staff member with us and we were the biggest group in the program. I am thankful to have a degree in a common language and a critical language.
