Alexander Aldrich was born and raised in Southern California. He learned to speak Spanish as a missionary while living in Mexico City after high school. He obtained his B.A. in Spanish and M.A. in Spanish Linguistics from Brigham Young University. He currently works as Assistant Professor of Spanish at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where he teaches graduate, upper-division, and lower-division Spanish classes. His research deals principally with the fields of bilingualism, experimental phonetics, and laboratory phonology.
