I earned a PhD from the Hispanic Linguistics program at the University of Arizona in 2019. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Spanish in the World Languages and Cultures Department at Central Washington University, Washington. At CWU, I direct the Spanish Heritage Language Program and teach courses in heritage languages, sociolinguistics, and critical pedagogies. My interests are in US Spanish, pedagogies for social justice, language ideologies, and the sociolinguistics of language education.
