Gabriela Carrillo

Growing up in a bilingual household made me want to deepen my knowledge of our family's native language as well as become fluent in English. I grew up wanting to learn about my family's heritage and culture. I decided to use my linguistic abilities, K-12 background and passion for languages and cultures to help students within my own community become empowered through developing their own linguistic and bilingual skills. I encourage them to embrace both cultures as they discover and become productive members of a highly competitive, changing society.
