Kimberly Geeslin completed an MA in Spanish Linguistics (1995) and a PhD in the SLAT program (1999), specializing in the second language acquisition of Spanish. Currently Kimberly is a Professor of Hispanic Linguistics in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Indiana University in Bloomington and also serves as the Associate Vice Provost for Faculty & Academic Affairs. She is the author of 8 books and over 70 articles and book chapters, including the recent Cambridge Handbook of Spanish Linguistics (Cambridge University Press, 2018), Handbook of Spanish Second Language Acquisition (Wiley, 2014) and Sociolinguistics and Second Language Acquisition (Routledge, 2014).
