Medical Spanish III provides advanced students with instruction on independent Spanish communication skills to engage meaningfully with Spanish-speaking communities through interpersonal, academic, and professional channels. Emphasizing mass communication strategies and community engagement, this course prepares students for culturally responsive work during their clinical clerkships and future healthcare careers. Students will interpret and produce Spanish-language health materials, analyze medical and cultural case studies, and collaborate with local organizations to design and present a culturally competent, research-based, community health intervention.
