We are proud to recognize Dr. Ana Cornide for her selection as one of the eight fellows in the 2026 cohort of the Digital Borderlands in the Classroom Faculty Fellowship program. Her dedication to furthering undergraduate education has led her to this opportunity to equip her students with the understanding and tools required to further research about the Digital Borderlands.

As a part of this fellowship, she will attend a summer institution where she will engage with four key literacies–archival literacy, data literacy, digital literacy, and maker literacy–to support undergraduate student research in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands. Additionally, she will work to revise the content of a pre-existing course to integrate U.S.-Mexico borderlands research, and eventually deliver that course at the University of Arizona.

Once again we would like to congratulate Associate Professor of Practice, Dr. Ana Cornide, on receiving this fellowship and embracing this opportunity.
