Join us in congratulating one of our graduate students, Jessica Tiegs, on being awarded the Karen Smith Fellowship Scholarship! Jessica is a third year PhD student studying Hispanic Linguistics in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. She is interested in phonetics and laboratory phonology in both Spanish and Portuguese and will be writing her dissertation on gradient phonological contrasts in Portuguese.
