My education in Humanities prepared me for my professional career in many ways. I started off my career in advertising working at various advertising agencies on major brands like The Home Depot, Sprint, and Nissan where I learned all about targeting multicultural audiences. My Spanish degree was very useful as I was able to provide feedback on messaging and best ways to connect with our audiences authentically. Having my Humanities degree allowed me to wear multiple hats simultaneously and bring the best possible insights to reach our campaign goals. I was part of the first graduating class for the Spanish Translation and Interpretation program and it has been tremendously helpful throughout my career.
