Elizabeth is a first-year PhD student in Hispanic Linguistics. She received her BA in Spanish Language Teacher Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), as well as an MA in Spanish as a Second or Bilingual Language from Michigan State University. Elizabeth's primary research interests involve the sounds of speech. She is particularly interested in sociophonetics, laboratory phonology, and the acquisition of sounds by second language Spanish speakers.
