Anna Cristina is an instructor/graduate student in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. She is also a first year M.S. in Human Language Technology student at the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Her research interests include natural language processing, sociolinguistics and education, and the effects of bilingualism on cognitive development. She holds her Bachelor's degree in Language Teaching from Universidad de Sonora, in Mexico. She has taught English and Spanish in public and private settings in both Mexico and the U.S. Outside of her academic work, Anna Cristina enjoys reading, learning languages, chess, tennis, and figure skating.
