Emily Aikin is an SPAN 101 instructor and a first year Master's student studying Hispanic Linguistics in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Arizona. She holds two bachelor's degrees, one in International Affairs and another in Spanish, from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she is originally from. Though she loves everything about linguistics, her specific areas of interest are heritage language and phonology. Outside of academic work, Emily enjoys reading, spending time at home with her pets, and exploring Tucson.
