Rebekah Nagel is a first-year master's student and GA studying Hispanic linguistics and teaching SPAN 101 at the University of Arizona. She graduated with a double major in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Spanish from Winona State University. While pursuing her undergraduate degrees, she spent a semester abroad studying Spanish at the University of Barcelona and had the opportunity to present research with her professor Dr. Mary Hudgens Henderson at the 12th National Symposium on Spanish as a Heritage Language (NSSHL). Her prior background and area of interest in Hispanic linguistics is phonology. Her hobbies outside of academia include hiking, ice climbing, canoeing, and traveling.
